Today Diane talks to Peggy Sealfon about supercharging your life for a happier healthier you. They share tips for starting the new year in a balanced and healthy way.  Diane and Peggy discuss giving up making resolutions and instead setting intentions because these are goal orientated and less likely to fail. Goals and intentions are all about placing your attention in the direction you want to move, because your energy will always follow your attention. Diane and Peggy acknowledge the tendency for women to focus on everyone else rather than themselves and so Peggy gives some practical advice about placing yourself first whilst still helping others.

Peggy is a personal Development Coach, Wellness Specialist, Author and the owner of Stoneware Studio. She has written and co-written several books, namely “Escape from Anxiety: Supercharge your Life with powerful Strategies from a to z”.  In this episode Peggy takes Diane through the steps to fix an imbalance in your life, from taking a productivity pause to identifying interrupters in your life.

  • Create intentions, not resolutions.
  • Create a single intention as a mission statement for the year.
  • Your energy follows your attention.
  • Send your attention to positive and self affirming ideas.
  • Focus on one thing at a time, do not try and multitask.
  • You can’t give to others what’s not flowing through you.
  • Value yourself enough to self-honor yourself, take time to do the things that will help you.
  • Supercharge your life by integrating all the different parts from relationships, health and spirituality.
  • Practice constant self evaluation to see if you’re keeping your life in balance.
  • Take a productivity pause each morning for 10 minutes to evaluate your day.
  • Don’t focus on your thoughts but try to sit in between your thoughts.
  • Take regular breaks in the form of holidays or even meditation.
  • Spend at least 1 hour a day away from computers and digital interrupters.

You have everything you need inside of you, you just need to remove the struggles and obstacles.

These changes have to become a pattern, they can’t be done one as a fix-all cure.
